PSA Poster
If menstruation part of a women's life, then why do menstrual products get taxed as if they are not necessities?
This poster is a PSA highlighting the tendency for products and services marketed towards women to be priced higher than comparable goods and services marketed towards men, even when they are essentially the same. This is otherwise known as the Pink Tax. This design is centered around women’s menstrual products and how they are taxed as “luxury items” in the United States rather than necessary goods such as food, and in some states, clothing.
The main photo of the design was made as a photogram in the dark room by developing objects onto photo paper.
